An exotic hardwood from the forest of Brazil, Ipe exudes class and excellence. Ipe requires no maintenance unless you want the rich natural red tones to shine which requires the up keep of staining it every 18-24 months. Ipe is a very dense tight grained board and creates a beautiful natural outdoor feel. We also install a natural hardwood called Cumaru which in appearance and feel is very similar to Ipe although Cumaru’s wood grain is not quite as tightly grained.
Vinyl railing is a low-maintenance alternative to composite/wood railing and offers several great advantages. Just like any PVC item, vinyl railing can be cleaned with any typical household cleaner. Vinyl railing will not grow mold or mildew. Vinyl railing is a cost effective option that is available in White, Almond, Clay, Tan and Black. We buy the bulk of our vinyl railing from Superior Plastics which is located here in Lancaster County. Superior Plastics extrudes all their vinyl products in their factory and offers a large line of designs and styles all of which have a limited lifetime warranty.
With a limited lifetime warranty, aluminum railing is a great durable option that has similar advantages to vinyl railing like ease of cleaning and anti-mold and mildew. The aluminum railing profile is smaller which gives it the traditional “rod-iron” look. Our supplier is Key-Link Incorporated which is located right here in Lancaster County and manufactures all of their own railing. Rather than painting their aluminum products, Key-Link uses a powder coating system and offers colors black, white, bronze, brownstone, Kona, walnut, and sandy shore.
Like aluminum railing, our stainless steel cable railing is manufactured in Lancaster County and has a limited lifetime warranty. Cable railing allows for premier visibility and stylistically is a great alternative to the traditional railing systems. Cable railing is best suited to the customer who has an appreciation for the contemporary or modern look.
High-quality capped composite railing offers a wide range of styles and colors. Sometimes it looks best to brand match the decking material with the railing material which is an advantage that composite railing systems have over other styles of railing. Composite railing features other infill options such as glass, cable, and various styles and sizes of balusters.
If you are looking for a custom railing profile, our skilled craftsman can design and build sturdy yet beautiful railing systems out of all kinds of wood. Often we will build a custom Ipe hardwood rail accented with powder coated aluminum balusters which is low-maintenance yet classy look.
