Our Deck & Patio Building Process
Our process at Stump’s Decks relies heavily on collaboration and communication with you to ensure you get the deck of your dreams. We want to understand completely what you’re looking for, your budget, and your timeline. Our process is designed to make your planning and decision making a hassle-free experience.
Steps in the Process
Planning your project will include selecting the right building contractor and determining exactly what type of deck you will have. We want your planning and decision making to be an easy experience.
It all begins with an on-site consultation with one of our sales representatives to review your project goals, including design ideas and material options. This informal discussion typically takes an hour or less. Contact us to schedule a consultation today!
Your sales rep will use the information collected during the consultation to create 3D renderings, as well as a detailed project proposal. This process usually takes about a week.
When all the details have been finalized, you’ll send us the signed proposal, along with a down payment. Your project will be added to our schedule, and you’ll receive regular updates on our progress from this point forward.
Next, our development team begins the process of drawing the project plans, as well as applying for the permit, if required. They will also communicate with you regarding any information that you may need for your HOA approval. They’ll create a list of all the materials we will be using, and purchase everything at the appropriate times to stay on schedule for the build date.
When the time comes, our professional crews will build your new project with minimal delays and disruptions to your daily life; after all, that’s what we’re known for!
Enjoy your new outdoor living space, with the peace of mind that comes with Stump’s lifetime workmanship warranty and excellent customer service.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is your typical lead time for construction?
If you want to have a project scheduled for spring, summer, or fall, we recommend that you contact us three or four months in advance, so that you have enough time to meet with a salesman, review a proposal, and accept the proposal. During the winter months, two to three months is generally all that you need to get on our installation schedule.
What does a typical project cost?
Many of our basic low-maintenance decks cost between $10,000-$15,000. However because sizes, options, and materials can vary greatly from project to project, the cost of a project can reach $40,000 and beyond. A roof and deck project combined can cost between $20,000
to $45,000 and above.
Ready for a Project Quote?
Contact us to schedule an estimate for your project. A project manager will meet with you to learn what you’re looking for, discuss deck design possibilities, and show you material options.
